Posted 3/18/04: Make sure to watch the A-Channel Weather tonight during the 6:00pm broadcast to see Matt J. and Kayley W. doing the community weather and promoting the upcoming Edge Legacy Dinner and Open House.

Posted 3/16/04: Make sure to watch "Behind the Mask" on HNIC next Saturday as Kelly Hrudey is slated to do a brief story on The Edge School.  He ran out of time last week but is hoping to fit us in on March 20th.

Posted 3/12/04: Please note that March 25th is our open house from 5 - 9pm.  Please invite any people who want to learn more about The Edge School.  Please note that there is a noon dismissal on March 25th.

Posted 3/2/04: There will be a BATT meeting (click here for details) at The Edge School on Thursday, March 18th at 7:00pm. 

Posted 2/23/04: Re-enrollment packages have been sent home.  They are due back by March 5th.  Checkpoint meetings are scheduled for March 4th so that might be a convenient time to bring them in.

Posted 2/23/04: Checkpoint meetings are March 4th.  There will be early dismissal that day and busses will be picking students up at noon to allow for afternoon meetings.  Hockey training is cancelled that afternoon.

Posted 2/17/04: Our next Town Hall is on Thursday, February 19th and we will focus on student recognition.  Immediately following the Town Hall we will be having our Principal's Lunch to honour those students who achieved Principal's list.  Additionally we will be announcing some important upcoming dates.  On February 23rd, a videographer from A-Channel will be in to get some footage for our Edge Legacy Dinner Video.  On February 26th, Hockey Night In Canada is sending a video crew to do a story on our school that will be played during "Behind the Mask."

Posted 1/27/04: Someone from the school will call you the morning of a school cancellation or if busses are unable to run.  We will make every effort to remain open during exam week.  If the school remains open during inclement weather, parents are advised to review their individual transportation situation and make a decision based on the safety of the child.  As always, please contact the school if your child will not be attending.  For students writing diploma examinations, it is recommended that every effort be made to attend the examination.  Alberta Learning's policy is online for your information.  In most cases, students missing a diploma examination would need to register for a rewrite at the next scheduled examination administration. 

Posted 1/27/04: Attention golfers!  Golf is cancelled on January 29th due to the forecasted extreme windchill temperatures.

Posted 12/1/03: Exams begin during the week of January 19th.  Students will be provided with exam schedules and information this week.

Posted 11/20/03: Picture retakes are on Tuesday November 25th.  To have a retake, a signed picture package must be returned to the school no later than Friday November 21st.

Posted 11/19/03: For those parents of students who take the bus to school, we have been asked to please ensure that you are keeping the bus zone clear by not parking where the busses need to pull in.

Posted 11/17/03: Individual student photo order packages went home today, order forms must be back by Friday, November 21st for anyone wanting to order pictures.

Posted 11/6/03: The Edge Legacy Dinner has been scheduled for Monday, March 23/04.  Stay tuned to the website for important announcements and information about this special event.

Posted 11/5/03: The Parent / Participant Orientation meeting for the Spring Break Italy / France trip will be Thursday, November 13/03 in Mr. O'Leary's grade 10 classroom at 7:30 PM.  Interested parties who are unable to attend the meeting should contact Mr. McLean on or before Nov. 13.

Posted 10/29/03: School Photos are Friday, November 14th.  Order packages will be distributed shortly after that.

Posted 10/23/03: Our next formal day is Monday, November 10th when we will have a Town Hall to commemorate Remembrance Day. All students are asked to wear business professional attire and a poppy.

Posted 10/04/03: Wednesday, October 15th is our next formal day and Town Hall Meeting.  Students are asked to dress in a manner reflecting business professional.  Ties, dress pants and dress shoes are mandatory for male students and female students are required to dress accordingly.

Posted 09/29/03: Thursday, October 2nd is set aside for Checkpoint Meetings. Students will be dismissed at 12:00 noon. Study Hall will still be available. Friday, October 3rd is also set aside for Checkpoint meetings - no school for students.

Posted 09/23/03: Effective immediately, Thursday afternoon busses will depart the school at 3:00pm to maximize the students' ice time. Home arrival times will remain the same as on regular full academic days.

Posted 09/23/03: The Fall Retreat is right around the corner on October 6, 7 and 8. Permission forms and information packages will go home this week.

Posted 09/19/03: Hockey skill development starts next week so don't forget your equipment.
